We are approved Preschool Service Provider for quality delivery of Preschool programs in Long Day Care setting
At Blue Skies, your child will benefit from the South Australian Government initiative of Universal access to preschool program as part of our enhanced learning program. We tailor our program across numeracy, literacy, emotional and social development, and self-regulation. Program is delivered by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher, our preschool program will support your child’s learning, development, and well-being for now, at school and beyond.
Sessional preschools are usually operated by local government, schools, private organisations or the community. They usually run during school term and school hours, meaning they finish around 2 pm, over 2-3 days per week.
Funding and fees for sessional preschool programs may vary, meals are not covered and age requirements apply.
The preschool program is also offered in long day care centres. Blue Skies Early Learning is open from 6:30 AM. to 6:30 PM, Monday to Friday with flexible drop-off/pick-up times to better accommodate busy working families. Moreover we are open 52 weeks per year, meaning your child would not miss out on valuable learning opportunities during school holidays.
Our preschool programs run every day of the week. This means families have the flexibility for their child to receive the highest quality learning experiences on days that best support them.
Currently, the preschool program is available for children in the year before they start school. Each child is eligilbe for 15 hours of Preschool program per week.
However, starting in 2026, the government will roll out a preschool program for 3-year-olds, ensuring all children benefit from two years of quality early education to build strong foundations.
Children who engage in early childhood education have better outcomes in the long term, and they are better prepared to thrive at school.
More than 60% of 3-year-olds in South Australia, attend an early learning service. Offering preschool in settings where children are already receiving other early childhood education and care services supports quality and flexibility for families.
